The NBA has announced Cleveland Cavalier Kyrie Irving as the 2012 NBA Rookie of the year. He now joins an illustrious class of ROY’s including Kevin Durant, Lebron James & Michael Jordan. Irving has provided a base for Cleveland to restructure itself around. He is a young, athletic guard who will be a great asset to the team for years to come.
Irving reportedly received 117 of 120 possible votes, Kenneth Faried, Kawhi Leonard and Iman Shumpert received 1 vote each.
