Wait, What If?

The first ever annual Wait, What If? article. We spend an inordinate amount of time sitting and pondering these little sliding doors type moments and trying to predict what could be.

This article could go on for days if I was allowed to do this about any topic within the history of the NBA, but seeing as though I’d prefer not to bore everyone to death I’m sticking with events from this season. (more…)

Face in the Crowd

You know when watching a movie or even a TV show and an actor will pop onto the screen and for the life of you, you simply cannot put a name to their face.

The most infuriating part of the equation though is that you could rattle off every single movie or show they’ve ever appeared in and even quote some of their lines.

Why is it such a struggle then to recall a name?

Top Underrated Stars

Every team has their superstar. The guy who gets buckets when it counts, forces turnovers in the clutch and makes plays us mere mortals can only dream of pulling off. Cleveland have LeBron. The Lakers have Kobe. Houston have Harden and the Thunder have Durant. But what about the others on the roster? Stand up Jeff Green.

All good supporters and fans of the NBA know that as much as this game is a sport, it’s become more so of a business.

But is it this business approach, and side of the game, that has made it increasingly harder to stay loyal to one team when your favorite players are sent packing?

A Frolic in the Garden – James McKern

When the doors opened at the TD Garden and the crowds began to file in, the hype surrounding this game with the locals was one of a quiet confidence. The Thunder has had a miserable start to the season and all were looking forward to adding more pain to their suffering.

Mixed Bag

This article is my first take on nailing down a couple of completely random thoughts/suggestions about the upcoming 2014/15 NBA Season.

Not one thing you look at may make sense to you, and that’s perfectly fine because the assorted array of conclusions I’m about to write about are my own personal views.

Want to know why compiling these kinds of lists are so much fun?

To show you how much fun writing these lists can be, I’ve made a list to break it down.

ROOKIE WATCH: MARCUS SMART (BOSTON CELTICS)

Following on from Nick C’s opening Julius Randle Rookie feature, I have decided to choose new Boston Celtics draftee Marcus Smart. My decision behind the pick was that as a Boston Celtics fan, I feel I can give a true account to his Rookie season as I’ll be watching him more than any other rookie in the League, while trying to stay as unbiased as I possibly can.
