Celtics “Not Impressed” By Miami Heat Win-Streak

lbjkg

It would seem most people around the League, be it fans, media, even fellow opposition would be impressed by a 20 game win streak.

Well….. not the Boston Celtics.

Chris Forsberg posted a piece on ESPN today where he spoke to Jason Terry about the Heats mammoth win-streak.

Here’s what Terry had to say about it…

An Aussie In Boston

Being an Australian blog, we don’t often get the opportunity to go to live NBA games, so when one of us does, we like to give our fellow Aussie readers a little bit of an idea of the experience. With that being said, our good friend Dan attended his first NBA game today to see his beloved Celtics take on the Bulls at TD Garden. Dan is a Celtics maniac so we thought we’d show all you C’s fans a little bit of what you can expect from a game at the Garden.

The Celtics battled hard and managed a 71-69 victory over the Bulls behind Bass’ 14 points, and Garnett’s 11.

Here’s a few pics from his Boston Celtics experience. You can follow Dan on Twitter @BiddleBits. Enjoy!

RONDO INJURY: VIDEO

NBA: Boston Celtics at Atlanta Hawks

Boston Celtics fans were dealt the blow of bad news despite the jubilation after they beat current NBA Champs Miami Heat 100-98 in a gritty 2OT thriller.

The Celtics announced pre-game they would be without their star Point Guard for the game but no one was too sure as to the extent of the injury. Journalist Doris Burke broke the news at half time that the injury was indeed a tear on his ACL, and now looks certain that Rondo will miss the rest of this season.

Below is the video that suggests that Rondo’s injury could have happened late in the second half in the loss against Atlanta Hawks two days ago.

Us at NBA Nation Australia would like to wish Rajon Rondo a speedy recovery.

PRE-SEASON ROOKIE WATCH – JARED SULLINGER (CELTICS)

With the new season fast approaching the team at NBA Nation Australia threw some ideas onto the table for new features. We were looking for ideas that were slightly different, and in particular some that would be weekly rollover pieces.

We came up with the idea of each of us on the team to pick a rookie and to stick with said player for the full year. With each piece on our respective rookies we will be focusing on the past week, on how our rookie has played, his progressions, the areas of his game needing improvement, and also their influence within the league.

Also, moving aside from all the serious talk of stats and improving, we will be looking at our rookies social media influence. We wil be posting some of their better/funnier tweets from the week, quotes from interviews, and maybe their Instagram shots of their favourite breakfasts.

For our opening rookie feature, Nick How will be opening up with Boston Celtics’ Jared Sullinger.

BOSTON LAND HOUSTON’S LEE

The Boston Celtics have finally picked up Houston guard Courtney Lee.

The deal will include a sign & trade and currently Celtics forward JuJuan Johnson will be going the other way. It’s likely the deal will also include Sean Williams, and possibly E’Twaun Moore. Financial details are as yet unknown but with it being a sign & trade the deal will be at least three year deal (although the second and/or third seasons can be non-guaranteed.)

DID RONDO GIVE US GLIMPSES OF HIS FUTURE SCORING SELF?

Conference Finals, Game 2 – Rajon Rondo’s line: 44pts, 10ast, 8reb.

Were we treated to glimpses of what Rondo has in store once this Big 3 era comes to an end?

In recent years Rajon has legitimately become a star. Proven himself more than enough that he is the best player on this talent filled Celtics roster, which does happen to include future HOF beasts Allen, Pierce, & Garnett.
